Mandatory Evacuations Issued For Mosquito And Swansboro In El Dorado County

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office has issued a mandatory evacuation order for all residences in the entire community of Swansboro and Mosquito because of the King Fire.

According to a statement issued by agency on Tuesday, all residences are to evacuate driving south on Mosquito Road to Placerville. Only large vehicles and trailers are to use Rock Creek Road because firetrucks and emergency personnel need to unobstructed access.

An evacuation shelter has been set up by the Red Cross at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 3520 Carson Road in Camino.

In addition to previously posted evacuation lists, the following area is being evacuated.

Here is the mandatory evacuation list that was issued at 9:30 a.m.:
