Tips Lead Detectives To Church's Stolen Equipment, Drugs And Illegal Guns

CARMICHAEL (CBS13) - An anonymous tip led Folsom police officers to a home in Carmichael where they recovered stolen audio and visual equipment belonging to Bayside Church.

On Friday, officers asked for the public's help in locating the stolen goods, which had been stolen from a storage unit at Folsom Middle School. Officers later received a tip from a caller who said the items were at a home on Wildomar Way in Carmichael, according to a statement from the Folsom Police Department.

After obtaining a warrant, officers went to the home of the suspect, Brian Stockton, 45, on Monday afternoon and found what they think is all of the stolen equipment. They also reportedly found two stolen vehicles, a stolen enclosed trailer a watercraft, a small amount of methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms. Stockton, who is a convicted felon, also had numerous weapons, including three handguns, two rifles, an assault rifle and over 3,000 rounds of ammunition in the home.

Stockton was booked into the Sacramento County Jail on charges of possession of stolen property, drugs, ammunition and firearms.

A $10,000 reward was offered to the person who led police to the stolen property.
