145 Pounds Of Meth Seized By Modesto Police

MODESTO (CBS13) – Authorities seized 145 pounds of meth in a raid that targeted homes in Modesto and Brentwood.

The raids were undertaken Thursday around 9 a.m., according to the Modesto Police Department. Two homes in Modesto and a home in Brentwood were visited by agents from both the Stanislaus County Drug Enforcement Agency and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Exactly what was found at each of the homes has not been released, but police note that a total of 145 pound of meth in different stages of processing was seized.

A half-pound of heroin and $6,000 in cash was also found at the homes.

Three people were arrested in the operation: 44-year-old Leonor Sarabia, 34-year-old Estelo Chaidez, 22-year-old Humberto Olguin and 23-year-old Vanessa Santos. All but Santos face multiple drug charges; she faces a charge of child endangerment.

Authorities note that the operation was the result of a long-term investigation
