3 Poeple In Rocklin Arrested For Possession Of Controlled Substances, Possible Explosive Device

ROCKLIN (CBS13) - Three people were arrested in Rocklin on Friday after a probation search turned up controlled substances and a destructive device, say police.

Police officers went to a residence in the 3400 block of Cobblestone Drive in Rocklin at 2:34 p.m. Friday for a probation search, according to Rocklin Police Department Statement. During the search, officers found two people in possession of a controlled substance. They also found a third person hiding in the attic who was also had a controlled substance.

Officers also found a suspected explosive device, which they described as a mortar or modified firework.

Rocklin and Roseville police department's bomb squad came to the residence and rendered the object safe. As a result, a portion of Cobblestone Drive had to be temporarily closed off.

Jenni Marshall, 32, from Roseville, was arrested on the charge of possession of a controlled substance/dangerous drug. Travis Curran, 36, of Rocklin was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance/dangerous drug and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Tommy Clark, 43, from Meadow Vista, was arrested on felony and misdemeanor warrants, possession of a controlled substance/dangerous drug, and possession of a destructive device.

All three suspects were booked into the Placer County Jail.
