Neighbors Asking Questions About Dozens Of Police Visits To Roseville City Council Candidate's Home

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) — Rene Aguilera is running for City Council in Roseville, but his neighbors are asking a lot of questions about police activity involving a home connected to him.

He is currently serving on a school board in Roseville.

CBS13 found documents showing multiple complaints to police about alleged illegal activity at his Roseville residence.

It's the blue house on the block that makes neighbors see red. The house on Donner Avenue in Roseville is unassuming enough. But neighbors like one we spoke to that didn't want to be identified say looks are deceiving.

According to Roseville Police records obtained by CBS13, there have been 44 calls to the police department, or to police officers regarding the home since the beginning of 2013. Many were related to reports of loud disturbances and suspected drug activity, with at least one arrest happening on Wednesday. A woman at the home named Holly Brannon was arrested on theft and drug charges.

According to Placer County election records, Aguilera indicates the address is his residence. He's a current board member of the Roseville Joint Union High School District and a candidate for Roseville City Council.

For two days, CBS13 tried to reach Aguilera, but he has not returned our calls.

When we arrived in the neighborhood on Wednesday, a woman came out of the home. She didn't want to talk about the police calls, which include reports of alleged drug deals, even one neighbor's report that trick-or-treat candy from the house allegedly included a small amount of marijuana.

Roseville Police refused to discuss how any of the past calls for service were handled.

There are no records showing Aguilera has been charged with any crime.

Neighbors are left frustrated, wondering just how someone leading a school district and wanting to lead the city could have a home that is the subject of so many complaints.

CBS13 also reached out to the Roseville Joint Union High School District, but received no comment.

It's important to note that Roseville Police removed the names from the records that were provided.
