Stockton Man Found Dead In Residence After Fight Wednesday Night

STOCKTON (CBS13) - Police in Stockton are investigating death of a man overnight.

Just before 6 a.m. Thursday, police were called out to the 1500 block of E. Sixth Street after receiving reports that a man had died from injuries he received at the hand of several people the night before, according to a statement from the Stockton Police Department.

Police learned the man was involved in a fight outside his residence on Wednesday night. He went back inside, and the next morning was found dead.

Stockton police urge anyone with information about the investigation to call (209) 937-8377, the Investigations Unit at (209) 937-8323, or Crime Stoppers at (209) 946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous.
