He goes by the name Lil Kida, and he's a dance champion on the verge of stardom.

His mom was there at the taping to offer support just as she has been every step of the way.

Kida's biggest inspiration was his dad.

"He's the one who taught me to dance, and my older brother and sister, they took me to lessons, and that's how i learned how to dance," he told Latifah.

But his dad wasn't there to share in those milestones, having passed away from H1N1 flu in January.

In his viral video, Kida honored his late dad.

Queen Latifah was so moved by Leon and his family that she gave them $6,000 in gift cards for groceries, clothing and toys.
