Sacramento Company Printing San Francisco Giants World Series Book For Third Time

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — It was a night that San Francisco Giants fans won't forget—the team won its third World Series title in five years in Game 7 on Wednesday.

Soon, fans will be able to commemorate that historic moment with a limited-edition book that's printed here in Sacramento.

The celebration didn't end in the locker room after the Giants' win. It continued all the way to Sacramento to the offices of Dome Printing.

It's more than just the cool factor for Bob Poole, one of the owners of the family owned printing company, it's practically a dream come true.

"To be able to do something that's related to sports memorabilia definitely something that a passion close to my heart," he said.

It's the third time the company has produced the special issue. They had the honor in 2010 and 2012, before beating out-of-state competitors for the gig this year.

"The phone was ringing off the hook, phone was vibrating—looks like we're doing a World Series magazine. Woo hoo," he said.

The family-owned business got the call on Wednesday, and had proofs going on the printing press the next morning. They produced a 144-page booklet and distributed about 45,000 copies.

"To be able to produce something like this is pretty priceless to us," he said.

Poole says the book will be at various local stores when it hits shelves later this week.
