Pot Dispensary Gives Out Free Marijuana For People Who Voted

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A Sacramento medicinal marijuana dispensary is offering voters a free gram of marijuana if they show their "I Voted" sticker proving they cast their vote today.

Employees at the River City Phoenix Dispensary says they heard voter turnout was low this election and wanted to help encourage folks to get out and vote.

"Especially with the business and what we're doing, it is really important that people get involved even if it may not pertain to this particular ballot [because] most of the time there's always something on there involving medical marijuana," said Shayna Schonauer, an employee at the dispensary.

Tuesday's giveaway is offered to existing customers and anyone else that has a doctor's recommendation.
