Baby's Body Found In Box Left Under Motor Home
SAN JOSE, (AP) — Police have found the body of a baby placed inside a cardboard box and abandoned in the crawl space beneath an empty motor home in San Jose.
KTVU reports Wednesday officials have found no evidence of foul play in the death of the infant found by a maintenance worker in a motor home park near U.S. Highway 101.
Maintenance worker Alex Reyes tells KTVU he found the body under the home and alerted police. He says the baby had been wrapped in three tiny sweaters and was wearing a tiny hat.
Residents tell KTVU the home has been abandoned for years.
San Jose Police spokesman Sgt. Heather Randol says the medical examiner's office has taken over the investigation into the baby's death.
