Top 5 Teams In The NFL - Week 11

The midway point of the season has come and gone, and some teams have started to separate themselves from the pack - although all the divisional races are still wide open. Through ten weeks, here are the five best teams in the league to date:

1. Denver Broncos (7-2)

Despite taking a bad loss in New England, Denver is still the favorite based on their combination of talent and the results they've had so far. Their other loss came in Seattle at the hands of the reigning champion Seahawks. Denver is going to have to take a few more losses before losing the top spot.

2. Arizona Cardinals (8-1)

The only thing keeping the Cardinals off the top spot is the fact that they just lost Carson Palmer for the season. Drew Stanton led the Cards to a win over the 49ers early in the season, but he's still a backup quarterback. The Cards' schedule doesn't get any easier, either, having to play Seattle twice, visit the 49ers, and fight through a tough battle with the Detroit Lions this weekend.

3. New England Patriots (7-2)

They have Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, which means that they will be a tough out in the playoffs. If Rob Gronkowski stays healthy, they are likely the only team in the AFC that can stop Denver.

4. Detroit Lions (7-2)
11. Detroit Lions (5-2)
The argument can be made for the Lions to be ahead of the Patriots for the third spot, but this is still Matthew Stafford, Jim Caldwell, and the Detroit Lions. 7-2 is nice, and they are loaded with talent - but nobody is going to trust them until they win a playoff game.

5. Green Bay Packers (6-3)
6. Green Bay Packers (4-2)
There are a couple of teams with better or equal records - the Eagles and Colts come to mind first - but the Packers offense has started to roll, and any team facing Aaron Rodgers in the playoffs has their work cut out for them. They still have a good chance of overtaking Detroit to win the division, and if you ask me who I'm taking in a big game that pits Rodgers vs. Stafford, I'm picking Rodgers every day of the week.
