Stockton Police Arrest Man Accused Of Hitting Pedestrian, Ramming Cars During Chase

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) - Stockton police say a man was arrested after he rammed several cars, hit a pedestrian with his vehicle and then led police on a 10-mile chase.

Officers were dispatched Saturday night on a report of a woman following the suspect's vehicle. The suspect had allegedly rammed her, blown her a kiss and then driven off.

Police say he then deliberately hit a pedestrian, knocking her onto the hood. He struck her again when she fell off and then went into a parking lot, where he struck several parked cars.

The suspect -- identified as 30-year-old Farren Deshawn Green -- was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism and driving under the influence at the end of an ensuing chase.

It was not immediately clear whether he had an attorney.
