Kids Learn Lessons On And Off Court From Former Sacramento Kings, Monarchs Players
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Sacramento Kings opened up a mini-camp for some aspiring players where former Kings and Sacramento Monarch Legends will be teaching.
The two-day training camps called Kings Next will teach them lessons that will stick with the kids forever.
Former Sacramento Monarch Ruthie Boldon is among those teaching the kids.
"When these kids leave here after these two days they're going to learn more than just basketball skills which is dear to my heart," she said.
The kids are learning more than just how to handle the round ball on the hardwood.
"It teaches to like care about things and work for things you want to get better at," said camp participant Chris Chang.
