Turlock Police Searching For Man Who Raped Woman At Knifepoint Near Donnelly Park

TURLOCK (CBS13) — Police say a woman was kidnapped at knifepoint and raped near Donnelly Park in Turlock.

The woman told Turlock Police she was sitting on a park bench when her attacker approached from behind with a knife at about midnight on Sunday.

The 44-year-old was dragged across the park to a nearby alley where he raped and then left her.

That alley is steps from an apartment complex where Antoinette Fernandez and David Gusiman live.

"No feelings; they don't care about human beings," Fernandez said.

According to a crime-reporting website, crimes committed around the park are mostly theft or property crime with one assault.

"I take my kids there," she said. "I don't see it a danger, but then again I don't allow my kids out at night, either."

Last July, a 43-year-old jogger allegedly fought off a teen who tried to rape her at the same park. Police caught him.

Now the search is on for a man who preyed for an unsuspecting victim at a park.
