Citrus Heights Police Shoot Armed Man
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — A man with a gun was shot by police in Citrus Heights on Thursday.
The shooting happened in the area of C-Bar C-Park near Woodside Elementary School.
Officers responded to reports of a suicidal man with a handgun in the area. Officers contacted him and talked with him, but at one point, both opened fire. No shots were fired from the man.
The man was alive and taken to a hospital after officers gave him medical attention. They will be placed on paid administrative leave, as is standard in police shootings.
