Police Seek Driver That Hit Woman, Fled Scene In North Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police in Sacramento are asking for help in finding the driver of a car that hit a woman late Friday night.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident happened just after 11:30 p.m. on Arcade Boulevard near Palmer Street. A car was heading west along Arcade Boulevard when, for some reason, it left the roadway and hit a woman out walking.

Police say the car kept on going after hitting the woman – who has not been identified – and left the area.

Officers who responded to the scene found the woman had suffered serious injuries. She was taken to the hospital and is being treated for life-threatening injuries, police say.

Investigators believe the suspect car is a 2000 to 2004 dark gray Ford Taurus. It may have significant damage to its passenger side mirror, as well as hood and windshield, due to the incident.
