Boyfriend Identified As Suspect In Killing Of Elk Grove Woman, Warrant Issued
ELK GROVE (CBS13) – Detectives have issued an arrest warrant for a man suspected of killing an Elk Grove woman.
According to the Elk Grove Police Department, 38-year-old Moses Valdez has been identified in the killing of 37-year-old Marissa Pineda De Almanza. The woman was found dead in her 9200 block of Franklin Boulevard apartment back on Nov. 5.
Valdez was Almanza's boyfriend, detectives say. He is said to be a documented gang member with a lengthy criminal history.
Detectives still have not detailed the circumstances surrounding Almanza's death, only noting that obvious signs of trauma were found on her body.
