Car Crashes Into Water Pipe, Driver Admits How He Lost Control
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Part of park in south Sacramento is more like a swamp after a car crashed into a water pipe early Wednesday morning.
The driver involved in the crash says he lost control of his car and spun off into Hardester Park, off Hardester and Ardith Drives.
The car ended up hitting a two-inch water pipe, sending water spewing over the grass.
The driver stayed on scene and a water company was called out to turn off the running water. They said the pipe that broke was under pressure, which caused the water to continually gush out.
The water was eventually turned off, but it had leaked for hours
There's no estimate yet on how much water was lost.
