City Of Roseville Testing App To Notify First Responders, People Nearby About Emergencies

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) - The city of Roseville is among the first to use a new app that crowdsources 911 calls.

Alert-360 was launched today. You can use it to dial 911 if you're ever involved in an accident, crime or medical emergency. It alerts the dispatchers to your exact location and alerts other users in the area of the situation as well.

"In the case of a medical emergency, users can render aid. In the case of a public safety or police emergency, users can be notified, become alert and aware, stay out of harm's way, take a picture of a car speeding away from a robbery," said Alert-360 CEO Richard Diamond,

Alert-360 is being tested with city of Roseville employees for the next few weeks, and then it will be available to the public.
