Stockton Man Accused Of Stabbing Wife

STOCKTON (CBS13) - A Stockton man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his wife early Tuesday morning.

Police received a call at 3:52 a.m. Tuesday reporting that two people had been stabbed. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. They also found a man, who was identified as the woman's husband, suffering from a stab wound to the chest and a cut on his wrist, according to a Stockton P.D. statement.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

The suspect, 48-year-old Elias Valenzuela-Loera, was treated at the hospital and later booked into the county jail on the charge of attempted homicide.
