Teen Shot And Killed In Stockton

STOCKTON (CBS13) - A 13-year-old Stockton boy was shot and killed on Monday morning.

Police say the shooting happened before 7 a.m. in the 2300 block of S. Sacramento Street.

When officers arrived at the residence, they found a boy in the driveway of the home with at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the boy dead at the scene, according to Stockton Police Department Officer Joe Silva.

Police have not provided further details about the boy's injuries, including where on his body he was hit.

Homicide investigators are examining the crime scene and talking to potential witnesses.

Officers are also not commented on a motive for the shooting or on a possible suspect or suspects.

Gang detectives are working to determine whether the shooting was possibly gang related.
