Stockton Police Officer Credited With Saving Baby's Life

STOCKTON (CBS13) — A Stockton Police officer is credited with saving the life of a 1-month-old baby on Wednesday.

A 19-year-old woman in a U-Haul flagged down officer Pejman Zarrin near West and Hammer lanes in Stockton. The mother of the baby told him the baby wasn't breathing, and may have aspirated baby formula.

Zarrin cradled the baby and hit its back to try and dislodge what may have gone into the baby's lungs and stomach. After a few seconds, the baby started to move, and Zarrin placed it over his shoulder where it threw up the liquid.

The baby was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
