Dogs Rescued From Korean Meat Farm Heading To Sacramento SPCA
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Sacramento SPCA is working to find homes for 10 dogs saved from a South Korean meat farm.
The dogs are part of a group of 57 rescued from that farm by the Humane Society. Three other Bay Area groups are part of the rescue.
Sacramento SPCA CEO Rick Johnson says it's not against the law to farm dogs for food in South Korea, but a different perspective.
"South Korea is one of the few countries that actually farms the dogs, a different perspective they have on the animals they eat," he said.
The Humane Society is working with the farmed to transition to growing fruit.
