Woman Hit, Killed By Car Driven By Rocklin Police Officer
ROCKLIN (CBS13) – Police are investigating one of their own after a woman was struck by a car early Friday morning.
The incident happened on Rocklin Road, away from eastbound Interstate 80 towards Granite Drive.
California Highway Patrol says an off-duty Rocklin Police Officer was behind the wheel of a regular-colored sedan, not a patrol car, when the woman was hit.
The officer did not leave the scene of the accident.
The woman was taken to the hospital, but she later died from her injuries.
Investigators are currently interviewing the officer.
