Ballot Selfies Are OK In Utah Under New Law
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah Governor Gary Herbert has signed a bill that makes it legal for people to snap pictures of themselves with their ballots.
Republication Rep. John Knotwell, R-Herriman sponsored the bill, which allows people to take and distribute "selfies" of their own ballots.
The bill the Republican signed into law Monday makes it a misdemeanor to photograph someone else's ballot. State law previously barred voters from allowing others to see their ballots.
