Sacramento County Deputies Searching For Missing Boy, 11

12 p.m. UPDATE: Jayden was found safe and is being reunited with his family, deputies say.

NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) – Authorities are asking for help in finding a boy with autism who went missing Friday morning.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department says 11-year-old Jayden Preston was last seen around 7 a.m. walking near Winding Way and college Oak Drive. Deputies are walking door to door, asking if anyone has seen him.

Preston, who is said to be a high-functioning autistic boy, was wearing a navy blue jacket and was carrying a black backpack with white accents at the time he disappeared.

Anyone who sees Preston is asked to call deputies immediately at (916) 874-5111
