Firefighters Save Cat During Fire At Carmichael Home

CARMICHAEL (CBS13) – An Easter get together at a Carmichael home was cut short by a fire.

Sacramento Metro Fire says crews were called out to the 6900 block of Linda Sue Way home just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Firefighters say the home was fully involved. Twenty people were inside at the time and were able to get out safely, Metro Fire says.

Crews were able to save a cat, but three birds died in the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
