Fatal Crash Shuts Down Highway 12 West Of Lodi

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY (CBS13) – A fatal crash has Highway 12 west of Lodi closed Friday morning.

The scene is on SR-12, near N. Peatland Road.

According to Caltrans, a car heading east on Highway 12 crashed into a big rig. The crash sent the car down into a canal.

One person died in the crash, Caltrans says.

Both directions SR-12 are closed at Guard Road due to the crash. Caltrans expects to have the roadway reopened around 12:30 p.m.
