Detectives: Pollock Pines Woman Hit Ex-Boyfriend With Car

PLACERVILLE (CBS13) – Deputies say they believe a Pollock Pines woman intentionally hit and seriously injured a man with her car.

The incident happened near Broadway and Texerna Court, just east of Placerville.

Lt. Tom Murdoch from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to the scene around 2 p.m. for a reported hit-and-run. Once at the scene, they found a seriously injured man.

Deputies believe the car that hit the man was being driven by 45-year-old Pollock Pines resident Terrie Crampton – the ex-girlfriend of the man.

Crampton reportedly came back to the scene and her car was found along Newtown Road.

The man was airlifted to a hospital in Roseville. Deputies have not given an update to his condition.

While detectives are continuing to investigate the incident, they are characterizing it as an assault with a deadly weapon case. Crampton has been arrested and is being held on $195,000 bail.
