Orangevale Student Accused Of Making Threats Against School

ORANGEVALE (CBS13) – An Orangevale middle school student has been arrested for allegedly making threats against his school.

The Pasteur Middle School student was taken into custody Wednesday night and will not be on campus this morning, school officials say.

The threats reportedly began circulating yesterday afternoon.

School officials and local law enforcement began investigating immediately, eventually leading to the arrest of the student. The student, who was only identified as a boy, is facing a felony charge of making criminal threats. He has been booked at the Sacramento County Juvenile Detention Center.

Pasteur Middle School will be open Thursday with an extra law enforcement presence on campus.

Parents are being sent an automated phone message to alert them to the arrest before school starts this morning.
