Next Court Hearing In Baby Justice's Murder Continued To June

WOODLAND (CBS13) - The local mother accused of killing her 3-week-old son in February appeared before a judge on Monday morning.

Samantha Green is facing a murder charge after officials found her son Justice Rees dead in a Knight's Landing slough.

Green was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter, but a Yolo County Superior Court judge allowed prosecutors to change it to murder.

The case has been continued to June 2, 2015.

Justice's father, Frank Rees, was also in court today on unrelated charges. He is being charged with possession of methamphetamine and ammunition and driving without a license.

Just after baby Justice's death, Rees was arrested on misdemeanor driving under the influence and driving without a license warrants. He pleaded no contest to those charges. Rees' next court date is scheduled for June 4.
