Small Dog With Severe Burns To Paws Brought To Sacramento Animal Shelter
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento animal control officers are trying to determine how a small dog was seriously injured.
The 5-year old was brought to the front street shelter with what looks like severe burns to all four paws, but officials don't know how it happened.
"We're hoping he will be fine in the long run, but it's too early to tell" says Front Street shelter manager Gina Knepp.
The dog had no identification or microchip -- but they believe he is from the North Sacramento area.
The shelter is looking for someone to adopt him with some medical experience because his bandages must be changed until the wounds heal.
