Overturned Big Rig Filled With Milk Blocks Sacramento Roadway

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Lanes on 47th Avenue in Sacramento were blocked Monday after a big rig carrying milk overturned.

The crash happened on 47th avenue, just east of Highway 99, spilling several cartons of milk onto the roadway.

All lanes of eastbound traffic and one lane of westbound traffic were blocked while crews worked to move the truck and clean up the spilled cargo.

The truck was uprighted around 2 p.m.

Officers say the truck may have been hauling as many as 25,000 pounds of milk.
