Blatter Steps Down As FIFA President
After being re-elected as president of FIFA on Friday, Sepp Blatter announced Tuesday he is stepping down from his position to an advisory role. Blatter held the position for 17 years.
His tenure as president has been marred with corruption and bribery as many top officials, including FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke, are under investigation by federal authorities for taking millions of dollars to favorite certain sites for the World Cup in previous years.
The story is developing and more information will become available soon.
