Badly Injured Dog Abandoned In South Sacramento
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sacramento Animal Control is looking for the owner of a dog left in a shopping cart with severe injuries.
Officials say the dog was found at a business on Florin Road earlier this week. It had been suffering from the injuries for several days when it was found.
They are asking anyone with information about the dog to come forward.
"We would like to know who owns this dog and what happened. It may not be a criminal case, but we still would like an answer and we're going to try our hardest to save him.," said Gina Knepp, a Front Street Animal Shelter spokesperson.
Veterinarians say the dog is still in need of several surgeries.
