Police: Woman Stabbed By Husband In Citrus Heights

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) – A woman is in the hospital after police say she was stabbed by her husband.

Police received a call earlier just after 3 a.m. Thursday after neighbors on La Cima Way heard screaming.

A woman in her 60s was found bleeding with stab wounds and scratches, officers say. She has been taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Officers surrounded the home after he refused to come out. Using a key, officers were able to get into the house, but they found that the man had gotten out through the back door.

Police later found the suspect, 87-year-old David Wolff, sitting naked in the woods behind the house. The weapon police believe Wolff used to attack his wife was also recovered in the area.

Wolff has been taken to the hospital to be evaluated. Ultimately, police say they expect Wolff to be arrested and booked at Sacramento County Jail.
