Police Search For Stockton Hit-And-Run Suspect That Critically Injured Woman

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Police are asking for help in finding a driver who hit a woman in Stockton, leaving her critically injured.

The incident happened Wednesday near El Dorado and Sonora Streets. Stockton Police say they were called just after 6:30 p.m. about a hit-and-run and found that a 52-year-old woman had been hurt.

Witnesses told police the driver hit the woman then took off.

The woman suffered critical head injuries in the incident, but police say she is expected to survive.

Saturday, police released surveillance footage of the car. It is described as a gray sedan.

Anyone who recognizes the car or driver is asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 946-0600. Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $10,000.
