CBS13 Meets Sacramento Police K-9 Bodie's Puppies

SACRAMENTO (CBS 13) – Retired Sacramento police K-9 Bodie has a new title: Dad.

Bodie celebrated Father's Day for the first time this year, as he is now the father to a litter of puppies.

The Sacramento Police Department's German shepherd hung up his badge three years ago. While chasing down a suspect in Land Park in May, 2012, Bodie was shot once in the left paw and twice in the jaw. He received multiple surgeries, but sadly, couldn't return to work.

A litter of pups were born a few months ago, and today we were able to meet the four furry bundles of joy. 

All of the puppies have been adopted.
