Two Girls Reported Missing In North Highlands

NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) - The public is being asked to help find two girls who were last seen at their North Highlands home on Monday.

A'miricle Brown, 8, and Rachel Brown, 13, left their home in the 5000 block of Harrison Street in North Highlands around 2 p.m. Monday after reportedly getting into an argument with a family member who is also their legal guardian, according to a Sacramento Sheriff's Department statement.

Text messages sent from the girls indicate they could be with a member of their extended family; however, attempts to locate them have been unsuccessful.

A'miricle is described as a black female child who is 4 feet tall and weighs approximately 100 pounds. She has a light complexion and at last contact, had her hair pulled back in a bun. She wears glasses and was last seen dressed in a white t-shirt, brown Capri pants and pink slippers.

Rachel is described as a black female who is 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 125 pounds. She also has a light complexion and has shoulder length brown/reddish hair. Rachel was last seen wearing a pink shirt with dark jeans. She also had her hair pulled back into a bun.

Although the children are not believed to be in danger, the Sheriff's Department Missing Persons Detectives are involved in this case. Anyone who may have seen A'miricle and Rachel Brown or knows of the girls' whereabouts is asked to call the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department at (916) 874-5115.
