Wragg Fire Grows To 6,000 Acres In Napa County Overnight

LAKE BERRYESSA (CBS13) — A fire that has charred thousands of acres of brush is prompting evacuations near Lake Berryessa.

The Wragg Fire has burned 6,000 acres on the south side of Lake Berryessa near Highway 128 and Graves Road, west of Winters. Evacuations have been ordered for Cold Canyon Trail, Golden Bear Estates, Quail Ridge Community, Canyon Creek, and Lake Solano Campgrounds.

Cal Fire confirmed the fire started as the result of a car accident. Cal Fire estimates 150 structures are threatened by the fire.

Highway 128 in the area is closed. More than 300 personnel have responded to the incident

The fire itself is near the Yolo and Napa county line, and near the Lake Berryessa boat dock.

Wind in the area is spurring the flames on causing short-range spotting.
