Kaepernick Tied 26th-Best Odds For MVP, Who Is First?

Bovada released the latest predicted odds for the NFL's MVP award for the upcoming season and there are some surprises on the board. First, Colin Kaepernick is tied for the bottom of the list with 50/1 odds. That puts him in the company of other quarterbacks Sam Bradford, Jay Cutler, Andy Dalton and Cam Newton.

The other observation is the Oakland Raiders are not represented on this list. I guess Derek Carr needs another year to prove himself worthy of being listed. He's definitely not alone as other good young players such as LeSean McCoy, Robert Griffin III and Mike Evans are left off as well. Out of the 33 names, 22 teams are represented, leaving out the Raiders, Rams, Cardinals, Titans, Jets, Bills, Browns, Jaguars, Redskins and Buccaneers.

The teams with more than one top candidate were the Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons and the Pittsburgh Steelers (led with three candidates).

Tom Brady, who as of now faces a four-game suspension to start the season, is still given 20/1 odds to win the MVP - good enough for 6th tied with a handful of other players.
