Manteca Teacher Accused Of Inappropriate Relationship With 16-Year-Old Student

MANTECA (CBS13) – Police say a Manteca high school teacher has been arrested on accusations he had a sexual relationship with a student.

According to the Manteca Police Department, Kevin Patrick Holeman had been under investigation since August 8 when they got a report that he had been in an ongoing inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old girl. Holeman was arrested Tuesday following the investigation.

Fifty-one-year-old Holeman is a teacher at East Union High School, police say.

"Our first and foremost concern is with the safety of our students. School officials are cooperating with law enforcement during the ongoing investigation," the Manteca Unified School District wrote in a statement. "At this time, the teacher has been placed on administrative leave until further notice."

Holeman was booked at San Joaquin County Jail and is facing charges of lawful sex with a minor.

Police are continuing to investigate Holeman and note they are not releasing any more details about the case.
