6-Month-Old Central California Girl Saved From Fiery Crash That Killed Parents

EASTON, Calif. (AP) - A 6-month-old girl may owe her life to a man who rescued her from a fiery car crash in Fresno County that killed her parents.

The Fresno Bee says the girl's hospitalized in good condition.

She was in a sport utility vehicle that hit a power pole around 3 a.m. Friday near Easton.

Jose Sanchez, who lives nearby, told the paper he found the crying child lying on the ground next to an open door.

A woman was unconscious inside.

Sanchez says the driver wasn't moving and his shirt was on fire. Sanchez says he put out that fire but flames began to spread so he grabbed the child and moved back. That's when the SUV became engulfed in flames.

KFSN-TV says the adults were the girl's parents.
