Police: Student Says She Was Grabbed, Assaulted At Sac State Parking Lot Elevator

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento State police are asking students to be extra vigilant after a woman said she was attacked in an elevator.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon in the north elevator of Parking Structure 1, according to the Sac State Police Department. A college-age man walking a mountain bike with green rims reportedly followed a student as she got in the elevator.

He reportedly said "hello" to the woman and asked her to push the fifth floor button. Once the doors closed, however, the woman said he blocked the door with his bike and grabbed and tried to kiss her.

The woman resisted, but the man continued to try and kiss her at least two more times. She was able to push past the man once the doors opened.

Police say the man looked to be about 5'7'' and had a short, black, buzz cut-style haircut with a short beard on his chin. He was wearing a black t-shirt at the time of the attack.

Anyone who knows who the suspect might be is asked to call police at (916) 278-6000.
