Video Shows Sacramento Fire Department Team Protecting Middletown Home

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Firefighters from the Sacramento Fire Department who were called to help fight the Valley Fire last weekend in Lake County recorded some dramatic video showing them working to save a home in hard-hit Middletown.

Around 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Sacramento Fire Department made public on its Facebook page video of the strike team working to keep flames away from the structure.

A fire department spokesperson writes, "#ValleyFire: Dramatic new footage has emerged from Sacramento Fire OES 8434 as they worked to save a house early Sunday morning in Middletown on the Valley Fire. The crew was able to break through a fence, extinguish the burning awning and roof of the house, and remove burning debris and fencing from the perimeter. The house was saved."
