Vince Carter's Rare Feat: Missing A Dunk
It's early October and the NBA preseason is underway, meaning players young and old are still getting their legs ready for the long, grueling regular season. One of those guys is Vince Carter.
One of the greatest dunkers in the history of the NBA, 38-year-old Carter has wowed fans with his high-flying slams since entering the league. Despite his long history of getting well above the rim, this isn't 2002 anymore.
In the video above, it's evident his legs are finally acting their age. Fans are so used to watching Carter dunk effortlessly, it's kind of surprising to see him embarrassed like that. To make matters worse, he immediately turns to the referee to complain about "contact" during the shot. Looking at the replay, he wasn't even touched.
This may be a fluke, like I said, it is preseason. He's still playing at a high level for his age and he is still considered one of the best, but maybe next time lay it up or laugh it off.
