Dixon Police Chief Fired After More Than 6 Years On The Job

DIXON (CBS13) — The city of Dixon has fired its police chief after what the city calls a process that's been in motion for awhile.

John Cox was let go by the city on Tuesday with no reason disclosed. The city manager confirmed there was no ongoing litigation, but couldn't say whether there was an investigation into his behavior.

Cox was Dixon's police chief for more than six years.
