Travelers Frustrated By Limited Garage Parking At Sacramento International Airport

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Frustrated travelers are showing up to find there is limited parking in the garage at Sacramento International Airport.

Officials say they lock down the garage at least once a week because there are too many cars.

It's more frustration for already stressed-out travelers before they even hit the ticket county.

"It was pretty bad," said Leslie Sain. "It's the first time I've had to park on the roof."

Many are grounded with parking problems. Those flying out of the airport have three parking options, the daily economy lot, the more expensive hourly lot and the ever-popular garage.

Officials say Wednesdays are the worst.

"It's very popular with our business travelers," said spokeswoman Laurie Slothower. "It usually fills to capacity and close on Wednesdays which are our busiest days for business travel and also some Tuesdays and Thursdays."
