Davis Police Officer Injured In Motorcycle Crash With Another Officer

DAVIS (CBS13) - A Davis police officer was injured Monday when he was thrown from his motorcycle after colliding with another officer.

Around 9:45 a.m. the officers were riding their motorcycles side-by-side on westbound Chiles Road, approaching Highway 105D, when one of the officers reportedly turned his head to look down Highway 105D and veered to the side, colliding with the other officer, according to a Davis Police Department spokesperson.

One officer was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was complaining of pain to his leg just before he was taken to the hospital.

 

The injured officer's name was not released, but police say he was a traffic sergeant with at 10 years of experience on the force
