Nurse Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Patient At Local Hospital

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A nurse who works at a local hospital has been arrested for allegedly violating someone he was supposed to be helping.

In September 2014 police received a report that the nurse assaulted a patient in his care. In August 2015, following their investigation, police detectives obtained a warrant and arrested the suspect, 39-year-old Jesus Tonkin, according to a Sacramento Police Department statement. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on the charge of sexual penetration by a foreign object.

Tonkin has been placed on administrative leave.
